Windows RT 8.1 Update Removed from Microsoft Store
Windows RT 8.1 update removed after users had difficulty updating devices
After the much-anticipated release of the Windows 8.1 update, ZDNet reports that Microsoft has tempoarily pulled the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store sometime this morning.
Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet contacted Microsoft for further information after giving scant information about the removal of the update:
“Microsoft is investigating a situation affecting a limited number of users updating their Windows RT devices to Windows RT 8.1. As a result, we have temporarily removed the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store. We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience. We will provide updates as they become available.”
Have you already updated your Surface RT to Windows 8.1 yet? Have you experienced any issues with it?
